The Visitor

By Loubna Flah

One day

By the dull afternoons

When the tiny birds nap

On the white balconies

And the day yawns

Over the open diaries

I will drop by

I have been told

You have pets now

A grey kitten like mine

That you look bit older

but fine

That you have a mansion

Two Children and a wife

Bills, worries and

errands to run

I have been told

That you are engrossed

In your merry life

I will drop by one day

To see your children

Hanging around your neck

To greet the woman in

your nest

To give my blessings to

the rest

A last farewell , and all

the best.
